Today we set out to do some signposts on rights of way.
First job was to load the signs and tools into the Land Rover before heading out
The first job was a familiar location, in the background you can see the bridge I helped to construct several weeks ago, the sign was attached to the post on the gate using 6 inch nails in pre-drilled holes.
The next job was a replacement sign, we dug out the old sign and then dug down deeper to fit the new signpost in, then we filled the earth back in and packed it down with the iron bar.
The next job was out on the coast path near Desolate
This involved removing the old signpost and fitting a new one in its place, again packing down using the iron bar
The final job was a replacement finger on an existing sign, this involved removing the dowels from the existing sign using a metal punch and hammer, then putting the new finger in place and drilling it to take new dowels and finally sawing off the excess dowels each side to leave a neat finish
The views were quite spectacular along the coast path and made a wonderful backdrop to a good days work
